If there was no short film restrictions, I’d have been able to easily and quickly complete my list. I don’t see a reason for excluding short films since there are a lot of them that are as great as feature-length films but I guess I have no say on that…. Anyway, I would have included Tscherkassky’s Outer Space, Deren’s Ritual in Transfigured Time and Meshes of the Afternoon, Shirin Neshat’s Turbulent, Anger’s Scorpio Rising, Genet’s Un Chant D’amour, Mambety’s The Little Girl Who Sold the Sun, Peleshian’s Beginning, Farrokhzad’s The House Is Black, McLaren’s Pas de Deux, Ivens’ A Valparaiso and Brakhage’s Window Water Baby Moving if not for the short films restriction.
